Anyway. Today's recipe is not my own creation...well, its really not a creation. Its more of a dump 3 things in a pot and walk away thing. The word creation implies that it was carefully crafted using lots of time and energy. This recipe...not so much. But it is delicious. Do you like German food? If not, you should. It goes great with beer and polka music....which, if you try this recipe, is a must while you eat this yumminess.
Ok, are you ready for this? Hold on to your hats because this might get confusing.
- 1 lb can of saur kraut
- 2 beef kielbasas - sliced
- 1 small head of red cabbage - sliced
Dump the kraut and red cabbage into the crock pot and then arrange the sliced kielbasa over the top. Cook on low for 4-6 hours. Whew! That was really complicated.
I found this recipe here. (I changed the ratios just a bit to suit my taste) Serve this with some bratwurst rolls and some spicy mustard. YUM! If you've got the time, why not try this German potato salad to go with it?
